Former Chief Judge & Diocesan Chancellor Kidnapped in Nigeria

Nigerian news outlet, PM News, reports from that Nnenna Oti, former Chief Judge of Abia State and now Chancellor of the Diocese of Ohaji-Egbema was kidnapped by gunmen on Sunday, 6 September. 

Speaking to reporters in Imo State, Bishop Oparaojiaku said  Justice Oti was driving to Anambra State when her car was pulled over and she was abducted.

“This is a sad mood for us, what we are expected to do at this time is to continue in our prayers for God Almighty to touch the minds of the kidnappers to release her,” he told the Vanguard Newspaper.

Bishop Oparaojiaku said a ransom demand has been received.

The Imo State Police said they are investigating the abduction.

Imo State is adjacent to Abia State in the south-central region of the nation.
