Lenora Hammond
1960-2021
Mrs Lenora Hammond, wife of Frontline Fellowship founder Dr Peter Hammond, died on 9 November. She was six days short of her sixty-first birthday. Frontline Fellowship is headquartered in Cape Town, South Africa.
Mrs Hammond was born into a missionary family from the United States. Her father was the Revd Bill Bathman who hailed from Chattanooga, Tennessee. She and her husband had five children—Andrea, Daniela, Christopher, Dan, and Calvin.
She was predeceased by her parents Bill and Harriet Bathman who were missionaries in Eastern Europe. Mrs Hammond had a great facility with languages and spoke English, Afrikaans, German, and French.
