Evangelical Theological College of Asia
Have you ever wondered if there was a sound reformed theological training institution in Asia? The Evangelical Theological College of Asia is just such a school. It is located in Singapore and its faculty are mostly from Australia and the United Kingdom.
Dr Marty Foord from Australia is the Principal. He earned his doctorate from the Australian College of Theology after earning his MTh, then taught at Trinity Theological College in Perth for almost two decades. He lectures on Church History, Systematic Theology, and Ethics.
Dr Rohintan Mody came to faith after graduating from Oxford University and working as an investment banker in the City. After his conversion, he studied at Oak Hill before doing his doctorate at the University of Aberdeen. He is the school’s Lecturer on the NT.
Dr Ben Thompson earned his doctorate from Queen’s University Belfast after first earning a Bachelor’s in Mathematics from Cambridge and a MTh from Oak Hill. Thompson is the Old Testament Lecturer.
Dr Jenny Foord, serves on staff as Dean of Women. She first qualified as a medical doctor before becoming a Christian and has been involved in women’s ministries for over thirteen years. Like her husband, she is a native Australian but grew up in Perth rather than Sydney.
The school’s website clearly sets out their vision to provide a biblically faithful educational training programme for those called to ministry in Asia.
