English Churchman Columnist Awarded MBE

English Churchman columnist, Miss Prudence Dailey was made a member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.  Miss Dailey was Chair of the Prayer Book Society for fifteen-years and has been a member of General Synod from Oxford Diocese for twenty-years.

When asked about the unexpected honour, Miss Dailey said,

“I am truly delighted and humbled to have been appointed a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. This honour acknowledges the public standing of the Prayer Book Society and the importance of its past and ongoing work, and should be recognised as a tribute to the Society as a whole. I continue to be grateful to the many wonderful and dedicated people alongside whom I worked during my stint at the helm.”

Her fortnightly commentary in this publication has become a welcome discussion starter in many corners of the Church of England.
