Anglican Network in Europe/GAFCON to Hold Conference for Disaffected C of E Clergy
The Anglican Network in Europe, one of the GAFCON affiliated works in the United Kingdom, is holding a conference for those Church of England clergy who are disaffected from the See of Canterbury.
The conference is scheduled for 22 October from 09:00 — 13:00 at Christ Church Newland, Hull.
The event is to take place the day after four more bishops are to be consecrated to assist in the work of the Anglican Network in Europe. Large geographic distances are the main reasons for so many bishops being consecrated as the Anglican Convocation in Europe and the Anglican Mission in England continue to add congregations.
Billing itself as an opportunity for clergy to gather to learn of the plans for the GAFCON initiative in the UK, the conference will feature Archbishop Foley Beach, Chairman of the GAFCON Primates’ Council and Primate of the Anglican Church in North America, Bishop Jay Behan of the Church of Confessing Anglicans of Aotearoa New Zealand, Bishop Julian Dobbs of the Diocese of the Living Word of the ACNA, and Bishop Charlie Masters of the Anglican Network in Canada.
Other speakers are to be announced as the conference draws nearer.
Booking in advance is deemed essential due to space limitations.
