Bishop of London Skewered by The Spectator
The Bishop of London was recently skewered by Quentin Letts in his column in The Spectator.
In an a page long essay entitled, “How to fail upwards” with the sub-title, “The comical incompetents who give hope to us all”, Letts pointed out the comical shortcomings of BINO Mullally during the Queen’s funeral.
“Bishop of London: her predecessor was the magisterial, resonant Richard Chartres. Sarah Mullally was once a chief nursing officer, bed baths more her bag than theology. She’s humdingingly terrible at public speaking. At the Queen’s funeral — ‘Endure ministers with righteousness’ — she nearly sent a ripple of laughter round the Abbey. Will they dare ask her to help at the coronation?”
Letts did not solely focus on Mullally. Sir Keir Starmer, Liz Truss, Sajid Javid, and Eddie Izzard all felt the pointed tip of his quill.
